Art is a message that reveals the truth. Art is made to disturb.
Artist (Painting, Sculpture). Born in 1953.
"I am a painter, textile designer, sculptor, who became a professional since 2001. I was trained at the School of Fine Arts in Aix-en-Provence, and a student of Vincent Bouilles. I became known in my workshop/gallery in Paris Bastille for 7 years. I created the "Nymphéas" scarf for the Marmottan Monet museum. I have lived in the Basque country since 2005 where I carry out orders for individuals and professionals on the Basque coast.
Close to nature, I paint a projection of my dreamlike and poetic imagination. My inspiration comes from my travel diary: Los Angeles, NY, Rio de Janeiro, Madras, Tangier, Manila, Lisbon, Istanbul. I transpose into painting the images that inhabit me. Those who speak to me have kept their mystery in memory of the places, the moments, the people who have marked my life.
Influenced by street art, Pop Art of the 60s and German expressionism: Frantz Marc, Kirchner, Munch... My practice is eclectic, I experiment with stencils, various materials, paintings, sculptures, ceramics. My terracotta and ceramic sculptures complement my paintings
Imaginary or visionary figuration is closer to singular arts, to "outsiders" to mediumistic art. The artist's investment in his work classified towards intellectuality, essence, inner work is focused towards the projective, dreamlike, poetry, lyricism. The communication aspect via the signified is part of a symbolic narration whether it is allegorical, metaphorical or analytical."

Who is the artist?
Catherine Clare, painter of Flemish and Norman origin, from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence. Confirmed in his studio at Paris Bastille for 7 years. She has made commissions as a textile designer for the Marmottan Monet Museum and the Lisbon Museum. Settled in the Basque country since 2005 where she realizes her first orders for private individuals and professionals of the Basque coast. Close to nature, she paints a projection of her dreamlike and poetic imagination. She declines her creations in terracotta and ceramic sculptures.
Particular sign, the color is proportionate to the form. The form changes, according to the colored subjects. The expression comes from the colored surface that the viewer captures as a whole. Light is born from the contrast of shapes and colors.
We are captivated by a promising optical effect ...
Imaginary or visionary figuration is closer to singular arts, from "outsiders" to mediumistic art.
Materiality combines indifferently lines and colors, materials or volume in rather structured ways.
The artist's investment in his work, more in the direction of intellectuality, essence, inner work, is more focused on the projective, the onirism, the poetry, the lyricism, the hallucinogenic experience.
The communication aspect via the signified is part of a symbolic narrative that is allegorical, metaphorical or analytical.
