Lieven D'Haese

• 1957: born in Moanda, Congo 
 
• Lieven D'Haese stems from a famous Belgian family of sculptors (among them Reinhoud/ Cobra and Roel d’Haese), musicians and writers. He followed courses in painting and graphics at the Saint-Luke Institute in Brussels and Ghent, and at the Art School in Aalst.

• The figures of Lieven D'Haese sometimes look like characters playing a role in forgotten stories. He takes us on a journey, a childhood memery, an adventure into the wild nature…, with a lot of delicacy and poetry.
