Presentation

Lou Dervieux is a ceramics designer and art director, graduating from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 2018. Lou set up her Parisian ceramics studio to pursue her research in Limoges porcelain for the benefit of socio-critical packaging.

Says the artist: "I exacerbate the contrast between content and container, between the banalized form of a detergent bottle and free-form graphics. The meeting of chic and cheap is achieved by translating supermarket shelves into Limoges porcelain. Each molded piece is unique. I invite you to divert: design object, vase or soliflore, pitcher...".

Lou questions our relationship with everyday objects and their capacity to become design. The artistic director isn't content to simply make something beautiful, she wants her creations to arouse astonishment and provoke questioning. Shoe polish cans and juice bottles are transformed into fragile porcelain vases, to the delight of our eyes and our homes.
